Celebrating Bhaarat

A Community Initiative by Chiranjeev Gurukul

What is it about?

Every home has a story. Every tradition carries a memory. Every community has something worth sharing.

We are launching a new initiative where you, the Chiranjeev Gurukul community, become the contributors and storytellers of our newsletter.

Until now, the Chiranjeev Gurukul team has curated and compiled newsletters for the community. With this initiative, we are opening up the platform to your stories, ideas, experiences, recipes, photographs, discoveries and creative expressions.

The newsletter will now be published four  times a year, with each edition bringing together contributions from members of our community.

Celebrating Bhaarat – for the community, from the community.

Submission Guidelines

Before you send in your contribution, please keep the following in mind:

1. Keep your submission relevant to the edition’s theme – Celebrating Bhaarat — and/or connect it with Indian Wisdom, culture, traditions, experiences or leadership.

2. Written submissions should be up to 150-300 words.

3. Individuals can choose up to 1 category per newsletter.

4. For photographs, you may submit up to 2 photos. Please ensure that you have the necessary permission to share photographs featuring other people.

5. Original contributions are encouraged. If you are sharing an existing story, recipe, photograph or other material, please ensure that you have the right to share it and mention the source where applicable.

6. The Chiranjeev Gurukul team may make minor edits for length, clarity, grammar and formatting, while retaining the essence of your contribution.

7. By submitting, you give Chiranjeev Gurukul permission to publish your contribution in the newsletter. We may also feature selected contributions on our social media channels, subject to the permissions provided in the submission form.

8. Please include your name and city with your submission. You may also share your social media handle if you would like to be credited/tagged when your contribution is featured online.

A Few More Things to Keep in Mind

1. Categories will remain open until we get an interested volunteer for it. Once we have a submission for a particular category, we may close that category while keeping the others open.

2. What if my contribution isn’t selected for this edition?
Don’t worry — it won’t be discarded. With your permission, we can keep it on hold and consider it for a future edition. Since the newsletter has limited space, the Chiranjeev Gurukul team will curate the final selection for each edition.

We may contact contributors if their submission requires additional information, editing or clarification before publication.
