Maryada Purushottam – Ram,  The idealist

    By Ameeta Menon
    31Jan, 2024

At Chiranjeev Gurukul, our commitment is rooted in embracing Indian wisdom and extracting its essence to nurture a new generation of leaders poised to restore humanity’s glory to the world.

The story of Sri Ram has served as an enduring source of comfort for millions, providing solace in times of sorrow, vitality during moments of uncertainty, illumination amid confusion, inspiration in moments of dejection, and guidance in quandaries. It unfolds as an intensely human drama, where God takes on the guise of man, assembling on the vast world stage beings both human and subhuman, beast and demon, to bestow upon us the boon of Super Wisdom through precept and example.

Among the most revered avatars is Sri Ram, the epitome of sublime humanity, embodying the highest qualities of human nature. From willingly relinquishing the throne promised to him just hours earlier for his brother to forsaking royal comforts in fulfillment of his father’s promise, the depicted leader stands firm on non-negotiable principles of conduct and governance, exemplifying servant leadership. The personified qualities include excellence, forbearance, righteousness, service, and high-mindedness.
