Leadership Capability Building Workshop for the HOD’s of the House of Malaka Spice

The leadership team of House of Malaka Spice collaborated with Chanakya Consulting Insights and Chiranjeev Gurukul to conduct a Leadership Capability Building Workshop called Legends of Malaka Spice. Our leaders enjoyed it and gained clarity on Dharm (Purpose) and Arth (Financial Prosperity).

At the workshop, the leaders had to play the roles of kings and queens including Samrat Ashok, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Abbakka, Maharana Pratap, Vikramaditya, and so on, and choose the appropriate allies from the group, and then solve present day Business challenges, using the strategies of Arthashaastra and the (researched) strengths/ styles of these rulers. They solved these challenges with aplomb and now continue to use the lessons on a day to day basis.

Indeed it was a fun insightful role playing activity also called as Samakrida) for the leaders to get deeper into the life and learnings of great swamis and swaminis from our rich and resourceful Itihaas.

Bhaarat is one of the ancient long lasting civilizations. Numerous kings and their dynasties have efficiently led and managed great kingdoms for generations. It is unfortunate that most of the 21st century organizations are unaware about the leadership principles they used. There is a lot to learn from our itihas. The principles still exist in the form of epic stories and shaastras. History has accounts of these kings, their approach to govern, their failures, their successes, all that can be used to lead a company or even country today.
